🎬 What is Givvii? How does it work? +

Givvii is a short‑form video platform where you can:

  • Make beats directly in your browser – no software to install.
  • Record or upload short videos (vertical format).
  • Share your videos to a feed where fans can watch, like, comment, and send you virtual gifts.
  • Earn real money from gifts and referrals.

A creative toolkit + social video app in one.

🔊 How do I use the beat maker? +

We are currently rebuilding the beat maker to be a real step sequencer (drum pads, tempo control, export). The full version will launch soon – you will be able to:

  • Tap pads to create drum patterns (kick, snare, hi‑hat, etc.).
  • Adjust BPM (tempo).
  • Download your beat as an audio file.
  • Attach the beat directly to your video upload.

Stay tuned – this is our signature feature.

📤 What video formats are supported? Any size limits? +
  • Formats: MP4, WebM, MOV (automatically converted to MP4).
  • Max file size: 200MB before compression. After compression, file size is usually under 50MB.
  • Verified creators: can upload up to 100MB compressed.

We automatically compress your video – this saves bandwidth and speeds up playback.

🔇 Why is my video muted? How do I unmute? +

Browsers block autoplay with sound. On the home feed, videos start muted. To unmute:

  • Tap the speaker icon (🔇) on the right side of the video.
  • It will change 🔊, and you will hear the audio.
  • If the video has no audio at all, the original file may have had a missing or unsupported audio track. Try re‑uploading with a standard MP4 that contains AAC audio.
🖼️ How do I add a custom thumbnail? +

Currently, thumbnails are automatically extracted from the first frame of your video. To improve your thumbnail:

  • Make sure the first frame of your video looks good (e.g., a clear face or title screen).
  • In a future update, you will be able to upload a custom image.
💰 How do I earn money on Givvii? +

You have three main ways to earn:

  • Virtual gifts: Fans send you coins (100 coins = $1 USD). Creators keep most of what they earn.
  • Referral program: Invite friends – you get coins for each friend who signs up and uploads a video.
  • Coming soon: Super Thanks (fans tip your video), channel memberships (monthly subscriptions), and ad revenue share.

You can withdraw your earnings when you reach the minimum threshold. Withdrawals are sent to your bank account.

🪙 What are coins? How do I buy them? +

Coins are the virtual currency on Givvii. 100 coins = $1 USD. You buy coins to send gifts to creators. To purchase:

  • Go to your Profile → click “Get More” next to your wallet balance.
  • Choose a coin package (100, 500, 1000, 2000, 5000, or 10000 coins).
  • Complete payment via Flutterwave (card, bank transfer, USSD).

Coins are non‑refundable.

✅ What does verification give me? +
  • Verification badge next to your name (appears on feed, profile, comments).
  • Higher earnings: more from gifts than standard creators.
  • Larger uploads: bigger file size limit.
  • Priority support: faster email responses.

You can subscribe from Settings. Cancel anytime – no refunds for the current month.

👥 How does the referral program work? +

When you sign up, you get a unique referral link (e.g., https://givvii.com/signup.html?ref=YOURCODE). Share this link with friends. When they sign up and upload their first video, you instantly get coins added to your wallet. No limit – invite as many as you want.

Find your referral link on your Profile page under “Invite Friends”.

🐛 Video won't play / progress bar stuck / black screen +

Try these steps:

  • Refresh the page (Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac).
  • Clear your browser cache.
  • Update your browser to the latest version.
  • Try a different browser.
  • If the problem persists, email support@givvii.com with the video URL and a screenshot.
📱 Does Givvii work on mobile phones? Can I install it as an app? +

Yes! Givvii is a progressive web app (PWA). You can add it to your home screen for a native‑like experience:

  • Android (Chrome): Open Givvii → tap the three dots → “Add to Home screen”.
  • iOS (Safari): Open Givvii → tap the share icon → “Add to Home Screen”.

After adding, Givvii will open full‑screen, without browser tabs, and work offline (for previously viewed content).

🔐 How do I change my password? +

Go to Settings → “Change Password”. You’ll need to enter your current password, then your new password (minimum 6 characters).

🗑️ How do I delete my account? +

In Settings, scroll down to “Delete Account”. Confirm the action – your profile, videos, comments, and likes will be permanently removed within 24 hours. Backup copies are kept for 30 days, then erased. You cannot recover a deleted account.

🔒 Is my data safe? How do I request my data? +

We encrypt all data in transit (SSL) and at rest. Your password is hashed. Video files are stored with encrypted access. To request a copy of your data (GDPR/NDPR), email privacy@givvii.com. We will respond within 30 days.
